Taif Rose AAA grade

From £55.00

The Rose provides both Absolutes and Essential Oils depending on how the flowers are treated. The pure Rose is often treated in Grasse to obtain the Absolutes, as the treatment processes there are more sophisticated, and result in a much more refined end product. All roses must be picked before the sun touches them as the quality of the oil will start to diminish as the sun intensifies. There is an old saying in Bulgaria that ‘Rose smells best when there is dew on the petticoats’. It takes approximately 307,000 roses to produce one kilogram of oil; or to put it into context, it would take one of the best pickers a total of 24 hours to pick enough roses to produce 30ml of Essential Oil. This is the best grade of Taif Rose.
